There was this boy and girl who knew each other really well.Emotionally that is.
There was never a dull moment and both could almost read each other's minds. It was eerie, considering the fact that they only knew each other for a couple of months, but at the same time both felt really comfortable with each other and hoped it would remain this way for as long as possible.
The girl fell in love with the boy and she plucked up enough courage to let him know about them one fine day.
The boy seemed glad and accepted whatever the girl had to say. However, the boy told the girl,"I cannot and won't give you empty promises." To which the girl gladly obliged to accept. It was like as if she had signed some sort of unwritten contract with the boy.But the girl was happy.
Or so she thought.
As both the girl and the boy were extremely busy individuals, they started having less and less time to see each other. The girl still held on to her side of the agreement and told herself that someday the boy she loved would come to realize that she was still there,by his side, silently but surely supporting his every move and decision.
She hoped one day he would tell her he loved her and wanted her by his side very much.
So she waited and attempted to talk to him as they used to. But the boy started acting cooler and cooler to her.The girl only wanted him to talk to her and be sweet to her once again.Just once more. But the boy didn't seem to care.He told her not to think too much.
The girl started to hang out with her friends,in a bid to forget the boy.But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get him out of her mind. Her friends told her to move on and forget it but she knew she couldn't.Something was holding her back and she didn't know what it was.
One night the girl sat up on her bed and thought "If only he could give me a chance to show him how much of a soulmate I can be for him.If only I could." And with that she fell asleep. In her dreams, she smiled.Becoz the boy confessed his true feelings to her and she wore a smile even in her waking hours. She thought to herself "If only it wasn't a dream."
The boy knows the girl is there, waiting for him.But he's too busy for her and feels she's really thinking too much.He tries to bury his emotions away from her as he doesn't want to hurt her.God only knows if he loves her at all but he cannot deny being concerned for her when she's hurt.
The girl is still vigilantly standing by the boy, tired but still hopeful. And she's still hoping for a chance to feel the boy's affections for her once again.
Bittersweet.
Signing off,
Tolora
