And so the syndrome of my itchy hands start.
About a week ago I was looking through gaijinpot.com (yes I know.Gaijinpot.Food for thought.),and came across this English school by the name of Gaba in Japan. It is a pretty well known school, more well known for the flexi hours their teachers have.
But of course as with all topics, there are a couple of "Why you shouldn't even consider working for Gaba" stuff. The internet is equipped with all sorts of nonsense.
So,being the inquisitive little thing that I am (I always make myself sound so sweet and adorable it irks me sometimes.),I decided to update my resume on gaijinpot.com and include a picture of myself to see if any email comes to me from Gaba.
A few days ago, specifically Wednesday,I received a call from a particular Amanda.Engaged in a 10min pre-interview call with her and after everything, she told me she'll be sending me an Interview task which I have to complete within a week.
Die la...how to complete....
The first instant I opened the attachment,my heart dropped.Yea I knew all along Gaba taught adults and taught business English but it never occurred to me it was THAT business like!
Went home that night, downloaded the task and told myself, "Ok...I'm gonna start on this. Let me do 2 questions a night.I'll be good and done by the deadline." So I got down to it.
There were 8 questions by the way.
By the time I looked up from the computer at 12.30am on Thursday morning,I was done with 5 questions.Only 3 more questions to go.
I amaze myself almost 90% of the time.
Thursday night saw me completing the entire task and sending it back to Amanda at almost 1am on Friday morning.
So,I'm done! Now all I have to do is wait to see if they like my answers and subsequently if they will gimme an official interview call.
Of course I still have my interview with Peppy in Japan. Oh my Japan! I'm coming! *runs with exaggerated running action towards the arrival gate in Narita*
I went to rebond my hair for the THIRD time last night. My hair was beyond hope already so that's why I decided to fork out $80 to do it.
Yes $80. It was a seriously good deal. And it was done really well too. So if any of you gals want the contact ask me for it ya? They do treatments at only $50 can!
Bloody hell they should start paying me.Haha.
Anyway,BBQ tonight at some fella's place. No he's not my friend. He's my anuty's new boyfriend. Soemhow he doesn't gimme a good vibe. Will you believe someone if he tells you that he's married but his country doesn't allow him to get a divorce? For fuck's sake he comes from Ireland!A bloody ang moh country at that! How stringent can they be on divorce???
Maybe he took my relatives (my parents and bro included),as stupid Asian people who will believe anything an ang moh says. Bite me. I wasn't around when he said that coz I was working. We shall see tonight.I don't like being treated like an idiot, especially when the truth is glaring and honking right in my face.
2 more weeks to my trip. Both excited and a little stressed coz my mum keeps wanting me to tell her where we are going exactly on the different days.
Oh God and I thought this was gonna be a relaxing trip.Geez.
I guess this post is long enough for today.Maybe I might hang out for a drink tonight. We shall see.
Signing off,
Tolora
